Dear
14th Senate District County Chairmen,
Two or
three weeks ago, I spoke to each of you on the phone.
I
enjoyed our chats and getting to know you.
This
note is to address a few issues.
If I
remember correctly, Rodney Barnett asked me if I had any helpers in Scioto
County.
Rick
Jones in Sciotoville was talking up Jean Schmidt and me.
He is
a new republican and is interested in getting involved.
I
suggested that he contact Mr. Barnett.
Did
that happen?

Kay
Ayres and I had talked about a Southern Ohio County Chairmen’s Association
meeting.
I
believe that she told me that Mr. Barnett is the Chairman.
Please
let me know when and where that meeting will be.
I’d
like to attend and meet all of the county chairmen.
Also,
my first meetings in Columbus will be April 6 and 7.
My
intention is to report back to the county chairmen with an e-mail report
and/or a phone call.
Can
you give me a list of e-mail addresses that should be on my distribution list?
I’d
like this list from each chairman.
Until
Tim Lewis (Adams County) gets an e-mail address, a telephone call or snail
mail will have to suffice.
Unfortunately,
Bill Herdman is stepping down as Brown County Chairman.
But he
will continue to stay involved in the Bush/Cheney campaign.
Bill,
let me know who the new Brown County Chairman will be.
This
is the first of many communications that you will be getting from me over the
next two years.
Please
bear with me while I acclimate to my new job and get comfortable with a format
to continue these communications.
And
finally, let me know about events in your county that you think I should
attend.
Don’t
look for me a whole lot on Saturday mornings during the summer. I have a boat
and intend to use it. (I like to water ski.)
If we
need a Saturday morning meeting, meet me at East Fork Lake and bring food. J
