Past Events
November 19, 2007
Mars Hill Academy hosted a rally for Mike Huckabee.
It was a pleasure to shake hands with Mr. Huckabee as he worked his way through the crowd of about 500 enthusiastic supporters.
Some of the best known people in the audience included Tom Brinkman, Phil Heimlich, Bob and Liz McEwen, and Anthony Munoz.

November 13, 2007
About 40 people attended the Scioto County Central Committee meeting.
A number of issues were discussed including election results and precinct petitions.
Chairman Barnett established a technology committee to improve communications and the Party website.
He also established a bylaws review committee and a recruiting committee.
Mr. Barnett also named several offices that that did not have a Republican candidate.

HUCKABEE WINS!!!
I conducted an impromptu straw poll to get an idea of which presidential candidates were most and least popular among the membership.
Mike Huckabee was the clear favorite followed by Fred Thompson. Only one member liked Mitt Romney.
It is interesting to note that I specifically asked about Rudy Giuliani and found no backers.
Agreement was universal that Hillary Clinton would be the Democrat nominee.
