I want to thank everyone that came to the Brown County Republican Club Picnic. Without all of YOU we could do nothing. The Picnic was a huge success. We had several new people in attendance. A BIG THANK YOU to Dawn DeClaire and the Social Committee for all of their hard work and efforts. They did an excellent job.
Also, during the Picnic this year we instated our new club officers. They are as follows: President - Moriah Votel, Vice-President - Michelle Jowers, Treasurer - Audrey Worthington, and Secretary - Cindy Klein.
As the outgoing president I would also like to say a big thank you to every one that was involved in any fashion over the last year. It has been a good year and I no doubt would not have been able to do anything without the help of people like YOU! I will be serving you in a new capacity this coming up year. I will be serving you and assisting Moriah Votel, President, as the Vice-President of the club. I am honored to be serving in this fashion. With the help of all of you we are looking forward to a very successful year!

Linda Fraley hosted an ice cream social at
the Hill Top Reception Hall in support of her campaign for re-election as
Auditor.
Hundreds of supporters, including her two campaign co-chairs, State
Senator Tom Niehaus and former State Representative Rose Vesper attended.
Hamburgers and hot dogs were cooked on the grill and ice cream was served in the
gazebo. There were inside and outside activities for both adults and children.
The crowd seemed to enjoy the big event of the afternoon, the “Bake-Off,” in
which several “local celebrities” good-naturedly sampled the many desserts
entered and awarded ribbons. After the judging, the baked goods were auctioned
off to the highest bidders. The first place winner was the Mayor of
Williamsburg, Mary Ann Lefker.
“Being from a big, close family myself, I wanted to have an event that would
include the whole family,” said Fraley. “I was so pleased with the turn-out
and grateful to everyone who came out to share their afternoon with us.
Hopefully, everyone had a good time.”

At the regular meeting of the Clermont County Central Committee, Chairman Rudd
briefly discussed the importance of the absentee voters.
Most of the meeting was devoted to the issue of the FairTax.
Tom Wright, FairTax Executive Director,
provided a very interesting presentation for his organization.
It was followed up by a Q&A and a spirited debate.
