November 17, 2010
The Clermont County Central Committee met for the last time in 2010. All newly
elected and reelected officials were congratulated and applauded. Chairman Rudd
talked about the election results and explained how the, soon to be open,
municipal court judicial seat will be filled. We will hold an endorsement vote
April 13, 2011. The election will be November 8, 2011. Mary Lynne Birck
announced her candidacy for the position. Kevin Miles is also a candidate. And
George Pattison is expected to declare his candidacy.

“A
Caring Place” held a
very successful annual banquet and fundraiser. More than 300 people attended. It
was great to see Commissioner-elect Archie
Wilson and Jim
Bushman. Special thanks to Al Paddock for inviting me to join his family for
the evening.

About 100 people attended the First Friday (Wednesday) luncheon sponsored by Government
Strategies Group at McCormick & Schmick’s. The crowd listened to Alex Triantafilou and Tim Burke presented their analysis of the
election results. It was my pleasure to be sitting with Joe
Uecker. Bill Seitz and Peter
Stautberg also
attended.
