What is the Apportionment Board?
The Board consists of the Governor, Secretary of State, State
Auditor, and a Republican and Democrat selected from the Legislature.
Control is important because the Board redraws the State House and State Senate
districts based on the 2010 national census. The Party redrawing the district
lines will have a huge advantage in determining control of the legislature in
2012 and beyond. The 2010 legislature will redraw the US House districts.

The 2012 Primary Election is 20 months away. I’ve raised about $10,400 and expanded
my donor base to about 140 people. Donation size has ranged from $20 to $125.
All contributions have been from individuals only. I’m Pro-Life, Pro-Gun, Pro-Limited

Nearly 30 members of the Union Twp (Clermont County) Tea Party attended a
condensed version of the 5000 Year Leap class. It was hosted by Scott Nichols. This stuff should
be part of every high school American History and/or Civics class. I agree with
the “28 great ideas that changed the world.”
July 6, 2010
About 200 people attended the Union Twp (Clermont County) Tea Party at the
Eastgate Holiday Inn. The featured speaker was Chris
Littleton. I hope
that Chris runs for public office some day. I don’t think that he said anything
that I disagreed with.

The Brown County GOP Club met to discuss the August 21st golf outing
and picnic. They also discussed the fair and decided to open HQ beginning Oct.
4th.

The Scioto County GOP club met to plan the 2010 Christmas party. They also
discussed the fair, the Terry Johnson motorcycle ride, and other fundraising
activities.

Mike DeWine sponsored his 31st annual DeWine
Family Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social
on his farm in Cedarville. Jon Husted, Dave Yost, and Judy Lanzinger were the
other statewide candidates who attended. It was fun chatting with Bob Taft. I
hadn’t seen him since the last time that I was invited to the governor’s mansion.
It was also great to see the pride of Adams County – Stephen Caraway.

Nearly 100 people attended the Clermont County GOP Pig Roast at Elks Run Golf Course in Batavia. Dave
Uible did a great job
organizing the event. The crowd was entertained with live Blue Grass music and
a magic show. The kids (and the adults) loved it.
